Smile    that is just gorgeous        My Late Mom and Dad in early years walking down Eloff Street Johannesburg
Solitude

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air.
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go.
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all.
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life's gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a long and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

THE VALUE OF A SMILE

Wilber B. Nesbit

The thing that goes the farthest
Towards making life worthwhile,
That costs the least, and does the most,
Is just a pleasant smile.
The smile that bubbles from the heart
That loves its fellow men
Will drive away the clouds of gloom
And coax the sun again.
It pays the higher interest,
For it is merely lent,
It's worth a million dollars ----
And it doesn't cost a cent.
There is no room for sadness
It's never out of style;
It nerves us on to try again
When failure makes us blue;
The dimples of encouragement are good
For me and you.
So - smile away!

Where we see a cheery smile;
It always has the same good look;
Folks understand by what a smile is meant;
It's worth a million dollars --Â
And it doesn't cost a cent.
A smile comes easily enough,
A twinkle in the eye
Is natural, and does more good
Than a long drawn sigh!
It touches on the heartstrings
Till they quiver blithe and long,
And always leaves an echo
That is very like a song.

Coping needs tools. You need support from people who love you. You need a shelter, education and confidence that is built up from knowing there is some one who cares and looking out for you.
Some people do not have the requirements needed in our fast, techno wolrd to cope. They are still trying to make ends meet, figure out what tomorrow is all about and they see the clouds diffused with rain. Sunshone is energy, they do not always see the rays of light.
I watched some one I love answer to a question posed to him once. He was asked how are? what are you doing, these days? Sometimes Hello and how are you are enough for a person trying to find sunshine. He answered, I am just trying to cope with each day. ----------------For him coping was enough of a challenge. The day that he coped was a successful day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our world is filled with success stories of companies over a hundred years old. We used products that were part of our lives, and now we know they are tainted, and harmful. We are fed by food manufacturers who make profits regardless of what they create to feed us.The instant, fast foods are profit makers, not designed to give us health and energy to cope. We wear clothes that are created by people who cope on a dollar a day. We spend our hard or easy earned money in wild and foolish ways. What we need is to sober up, wake up and take a goiod look at the world around us. Bees, butterflies and animals and birds in Nature are in danger. Our kids are unsafe in beautiful neighborhoods. Our daily lives are threatened by terroists. So how do we cope? How do we find the magic ingredient called success?
I believe people who share, care and give of themselves, see the plight of others are using tools for success. Many kids are writing and reading because some one cared. Old folks sit in surprise as they look at grand children who are armed with a cell phone they cannot put down..
We are faced with digital banking, 3d printed foods, robots to clean the homes, and drones to deliver anything you desire. What a world.It is amzing and exciting, BUT WHAT ABOUT US?
Are we in touch with ourselves? Have drugs and foolish ways confused and blinded our reality?
So in order to cope you need to do a few things every day. Sleep adequaetly. That means turning off the phone, TV. lights and being in a dark room with eyes closed.
Eat food ,not junk . Food needs to be real, so chew it all. Drink water and skip sugar soda drinks, the promise of energy loaded shots. You need water, natural drinks, a good coffee and healthy teas. i love milk and the real milk, not re designed, i per cent, no fats , , added vitamins and all that jazz is stressful. Just drink real stuff.I select foods on the shelf that do not have an expiry date that will outlive me. When there is a special , buy five , three free, check the dates. If tomato juice is there until 2035, I do not want it. Meat , fish and eggs should be chosen well. Vegetables and fruits, nuts, raisins, brans, grains and legunes are real foods. Go fot it.
Remeber that there are experts for Medical care, teeth, eyes and health issues. Internet does have answers, but the visit to a good Doctor is a good way to cope with Health.
So measure your success with how you cope without hurting anyone. See what you can do in a day to make it a good day for another person. If you walk away and leave hurt, you are a loss..
Find the balance of work, play, qaulity time with loved ones, a walk with he dog, a moment to take your Mom in law for a cup of coffee, take your Dad to a ball game, visit the Dentist with your kid, try to be a gentle baby sitter when some one needs it at home. find the road that you travel seldom on and see the pebbles shine when you go that way. Be a person who copes by being a mensch. Be a success by coping and making flowers bloom,. Awaken the gift and ability of others to cope and feel the warmth of the sun.
As I write this , I feel a connection to many people I love and care abouit. I wish I could give you all the good things that would help you cope. Wake each day with a grateful heart. Be strong, have faith and believe in miracles They work. Love and light, Rona Kruger. .

W. H. Auden
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
Rona Kruger Some days when a sad event happens you just sit quietly and imagine the clocked stopped to give you a measure of what happened at that moment. We all remember where we were when the man walked on the moon, when Kennedy was shot, when Rabin was shot in Tel Aviv , when 9/11 shocked us into a feeling of horror. But when in your close circle a dearly beloved friend passes on, you are left with the clock that stopped. A flood of memories rush in, a void seems to rise up from yesterday and tomorrow seems clouded in mystery How will it be for the beloved Family and friends that treasured this person? but they say life goes on and slowly the clock ticks into its rhythm that creates day and night and you go on. I believe that we are here on Earth for a short while .If we are fortunate and in balance, we experience the beauty of this world. Health, attitude, luck, genes, the road we travel on, all are part of the journey. We meet those who inspire us. We deal with different people and cultures at work and in our daily lives. We choose like minded people that seem in harmony with our lives and we cope with those who are less like us by being tolerant, patient and understanding. I am sure if everyone of us was a little KINDER, we could have an easier journey. People tend be be so involved with ego, selfish pursuits, the comfort level of their couch and issues of no value, that they have no time to stop and stare. They do not know the face of the doorman, never see the beggars eyes, do not look at the hungry animals roaming in search of a drink of water and a morsel of food. I would like to be aware of the value of each day. When it is happy , say Thank you. When it is a challenge, ask for guidance and help. When it is over your head, pray for energy and a direction to go in. When a mentally challenged, or person striving to find the best road each day, says, I COPED AS BEST AS I COULD TODAY, just applaud hi. Life is a battle, all the flowers do not bloom. The world is changing by the minute. The likes of Facebook are read for different reasons that you imagine They codes of life are used for spoiling beauty. So grab each moment, make it kind. Embrace each person, recognize their worth. Be kind were kindness makes a difference. Smile, you have lots of them inside. Take a deep breath and say THANK YOU DEAR GD. Let me be a better person today than I was yesterday To all suffering tragedy, loss, pain, confusion and floating in a ck\loud of smoke, hazy sunsets, dark nights, believe in Miracles They are waiting for you to link on......
